Many like 'Luke' have said about this project "I can’t believe it" and I like ‘Yoda’, I say "That is why you fail”. Our philosophy is
"Do, or do not. There is no try."

The What, Why, Where & Who

Prepare thyself for year-around historical enlightenment with master revelers at Medieval World, USA where pleasures reign and merrymaking is the rule during the Colorado Medieval Festival.

Because you want to know more about this!

What is it?

Medieval World, USA is planned to contain an historically accurate authentic full sized massive 5-acre castle and will be the centerpiece of this exciting world, with its enormous 18-foot tall walls that are 8 foot thick. Contained within these walls are the Keep, Great Hall, Kitchen & Servants Quarters, Well, Courtyard, Blacksmith, Dovecote, Arsenal, Sanitary Tower, Gate Towers, Knight's Hall, Lists, Chapel and Stable. Everything you would expect to find in a stronghold of the middle ages. The North Gatehouse is the Main entry to Castle, the East Gate leads to the town & shops and the South Gate leads to the tournament field, town & shops.

Around this Castle will be centered the 25 acre Town with its Marketplace & 120 Craftsman, Artisans & Merchants and of course the center of any town of this period is the Church and Main Plaza. The worlds tournament field lays just south of this town, approximately 40 acres. Large enough to host full scale re-enactments of entire battles by foot soldiers and even mounted knights, displays of siege engines in action. The possibilities are unlimited. Surrounding the Castle and town is planned to be situated farms, mills, monasteries, vineyards, and perhaps even smaller villages.

Why is it?

We plan to create Medieval World, USA where children and adults alike can learn from this living history local and what this period in history was like to live in and where Artisans and Craftsman of the town can demonstrate there arts and crafts and even offer apprenticeships to others, helping keep the various arts and crafts of the period alive for ages to come. A place where you can become part of the middle ages.

A true agrarian environment of the period is planned for this exciting world. A permanent local to preserve the living history of the middle ages. Many of these arts and crafts are slowing disappearing for the lack of a permanent living history local to preserve them.

The grounds will also host Seven Stages for Entertainment (the Stages of Knighthood) and a 40-acre tournament field to host re-enactments of full scale combats, displays of siege engines, horsemanship and much, much more. All presented during the summer at the Colorado Medieval Festival to be hosted on the grounds of Medieval World, USA or a temporary site to begin the adventure.

Le Château Des Rêves (The Castle of Dreams) along with its Marketplace and village will be but a few of the dominant segments featured in this Medieval World. This great picture by our concept artist shows the outer wall (castle & village not shown) situated upon the bluff that rises 50 foot above the surrounding land, the farming region of Medieval World.

Where is it?

Medieval World, USA will be a unique property of over 600 acres in Northern Colorado where Medieval World, USA will be conveniently situated between Interstate 25, Interstate 80 and state highway 85. This unique location will be near Fort Collins, CO (pop: 237,000) and the home of Colorado State University, Greeley, CO (pop: 99,000) and the home of University of Northern Colorado and close to Cheyenne, WY (pop: 66,000) and a short drive from Denver, CO (pop: 555,000).
